Mako sharks get the blame for damaged sonar equipmentDAMPIER COAST (AUSTRALIA)- Australian sportsfisherman Damien Dwyer accidentally hit a mako shark with his boat twenty kilometres off the Dampier Coast. The the massive 10-foot shark got so mad it circled the boat and repeatedly chomping on his propeller for about ten minutes.

What the fisherman in the video is trying to do with the shark is a bit fishy though.

“We were travelling along at about 15 knots just moving to another fishing spot and I heard a huge bang at the back of the boat,” Dwyer told local newspaper PerthNow. “I looked back and saw this big shark with its head sticking out of the water.  It was like Jaws, you could see the fin come up out of the water and it made a beeline towards us, it went around past the boat and started chewing on the motor.

Dwyer said he had fished in the area for several years but rarely came across a mako shark. The shark had caused some minor damage to his motor.
